Mostly known for his work with producer Full Crate, Mar has lent his sexy and mesmerizing vocals to dozens of projects, including the five track digital and vinyl release “Conversations With Her” EP (2010) and the well received Mar Variations series. Mar – “2U4U”
As the first variation of 2011, Netherlands-based singer/songwriter Mar pays tribute to the late J. Dilla by covering the Jay Dee-produced ’2 U 4 U’ originally performed by Slum Village on their sophomore album ‘Fantastic, Vol. 2′. On this version of ’2u4u’, Mar vocals completely new lyrics over the classic J.Dilla beat and succeeds in taking this already brilliant Hip-Hop song to a totally different and more soulful place.
